Just as striped patterns, or daymarks, helped seamen identify their location on the coastline many years ago, your own Cape Hatteras-style operational lighthouse will be a daymark and landmark for your home or garden.They are made of hardy T1-11 wood specially designed for the outdoors.The trim is arsenic-free pressure treated pine.

Solar Panels.Don’t want power cords in your yard? Then add a solar panel and let the sun power your beacon instead. Solar panels are available for the 4’ and 5’ models and with all options except the rotating head which is powered with a separate cord. The 4-bulb LED solar light is bright enough to light up a pathway and lasts through the night.

The colors that are usually in stock for immediate delivery are: white and hunter green, white and red (dark red). white and navy blue, white and black. All other colors are ready in 4-6 weeks.

Options available include:

Light bulb beacons. All models are equipped with a three foot cord to power the beacon day and night. All models, except the five-foot size, come with a non-blinking candle bulb; if you prefer a twinkle, add an optional blinker bulb. The five-foot model is equipped with a 40-watt bulb (wattage recommended by the manufacturer). All bulbs are standard, so they’re easy to replace when it’s time.

Rotating head. For more fun, add an optional rotating head, available for four and five foot models. This feature continually spins the beacon 360 degrees for a true representation of a Cape Hatteras-style operational lighthouse. The rotating head is powered by an additional three foot cord that comes ready to plug in; it does not take power from a solar panel and is therefore not available along with the solar panel option.

Auto-light sensor. Our five foot model comes standard with an auto-light sensor that turns the beacon on at dusk and off at sunrise. Easy to remove, too, so you can let your light shine all day long, if you’d like.

Mix and match colors. No matter which size you choose, you’ll love mixing and matching your choice of primary (head and body) and secondary (stripe) colors from our expansive color palette. The colors that are usually in stock are white with black, white with hunter green, white with red and white with navy blue. The other colors might have a 4-6 week wait.
