This solid hardwood jewelry chest will resist marring and scratching. If it does get damaged in severe use, it can be repaired because it is solid wood throughout. The natural fibers in the hardwood may slightly swell or shrink from season to season. Direct exposure to sunlight over an extended period may cause the color of the wood to change slightly.
