Note to anyone thinking about buying fine furniture through Cabinfield:

My wife and I have purchased nine major pieces of furniture from Amish craftsmen through Cabinfield, and we have been delighted with each piece.  We appreciate fine wood and the craftsmanship of fine joinery and finishes, and we have a very critical eye for both materials and workmanship.  We ordinarily would not think of buying anything without careful inspection, but we had purchased a beautifully made platform rocker and footstool in a shop in Indiana, and we noticed the same piece from a Cabinfield craftsman’s catalog.  We first ordered a couple of beautiful small solid cherry tables, and were sold.  There is no army of middlemen to inflate the costs and dilute value.  It is really a win-win for all.  Pieces are made to order, and one can specify the woods and finishes and even custom dimensions.  Even very much more expensive pieces in furniture stores do not compare in terms of real quality.  The pieces we have gotten should last for generations.  The customer service interface at Cabinfield is personal and outstanding also.

This piece is so beautiful!  My wife loved it!  We love your stuff...we still love looking at the chest we bought from you a while ago!
