Fire Island Lighthouse

Brave-hearted seamen weathered the waters through the peril of fog and storm. Yet their fears were calmed and hopes renewed when they first glimpsed the lighthouse’s beacon of safety. Keep those memories alive in your heart with the addition of a handcrafted, operational Twin Oak lighthouse in your home or garden. They are made of hardy T1-11 wood specially designed for the outdoors. The trim is arsenic-free pressure treated pine. Options available include:

Solar Panels. Don’t want power cords in your yard? Then add a solar panel and let the sun power your beacon instead. Solar panels are available for the 3', 4’, 5' and 6’ models and with all options except the rotating head which is powered with a separate cord. The 4-bulb LED solar light is bright enough to light up a pathway and lasts through the night.

Light bulb beacons. All models are equipped with an 8' cord to power the beacon day and night. All models, except the five-foot size, come with a non-blinking candle bulb; if you prefer a twinkle, add an optional blinker bulb. The five-foot model is equipped with a 40-watt bulb (wattage recommended by manufacturer). All bulbs are standard, so they’re easy to replace when it’s time.

Rotating head. For more authenticity, add an optional rotating head, available for four and five foot models. This feature continually spins the beacon 360 degrees for a true representation of an operational lighthouse. The rotating head is powered by an additional three foot cord that comes all ready to plug in; it does not take power from a solar panel and is therefore not available along with the solar panel option. Auto-light sensor. Our five foot model comes standard with an auto-light sensor that turns the beacon on at dusk and off at sunrise. Easy to remove, too, so you can let your light shine all day long, if you’d like.

Mix and match colors. No matter which size you choose, you’ll love mixing and matching your choice of primary (head and upper body) and secondary (trim and lower body) colors from our expansive color palette. The color that is usually in stock is red head with red top of base and white bottom of base. In this model, there might be a 4-6 week wait for other colors.
