Important Information about Motor Freight Shipping

Please note that this item is too large for UPS or FedEx and will be delivered by common carrier motor freight, such as Roadway or Conway. When furniture is delivered by truck freight, the shipper will be in touch with you to arrange a date and time for delivery. We offer several options for motor freight delivery.

1. Standard Curbside Delivery.

This option is the least costly and is most often selected by our customers. If you select this delivery option, it will be your responsibility to move the piece from the rear of the truck. Therefore, you will need to make accommodations to have someone on hand to assist the driver with unloading. Most drivers are nice and, for a small gratuity, will help with the unloading. The driver can open the pallet on the truck so that the pieces can be taken off individually which will be much more manageable. Please note that the driver is an employee of the trucking company, not of Cabinfield.

Lift gate service, where the furniture will be lowered to the ground with a lift gate and deposited on the curb, is often available for an extra fee (usually about $60). Please call us if you desire this service with our Curbside Delivery. Even with lift gate service however, the driver may leave once the shipment is off the truck and is not required to assist you in bringing the item into your home. It is important that you inspect the item at the time of delivery, and if the item has any damage, or there is any reason for you to be concerned about damage, please write "Product Damaged" clearly on the delivery receipt you are asked to sign and then call us. 2. Indoor Delivery with Set-Up.

For an additional fee, Cabinfield offers an Indoor Delivery and Setup option where your furniture will be delivered by specialized furniture movers who will take care of the entire unloading and set-up process. Please be sure the furniture will fit in the desired room and through all entryways and hallways with a comfortable margin.

Note to anyone thinking about buying fine furniture through Cabinfield:

My wife and I have purchased nine major pieces of furniture from Amish craftsmen through Cabinfield, and we have been delighted with each piece. We appreciate fine wood and the craftsmanship of fine joinery and finishes, and we have a very critical eye for both materials and workmanship. We ordinarily would not think of buying anything without careful inspection, but we had purchased a beautifully made platform rocker and footstool in a shop in Indiana, and we noticed the same piece from a Cabinfield craftsman’s catalog. We first ordered a couple of beautiful small solid cherry tables, and were sold. There is no army of middlemen to inflate the costs and dilute value. It is really a win-win for all. Pieces are made to order, and one can specify the woods and finishes and even custom dimensions. Even very much more expensive pieces in furniture stores do not compare in terms of real quality. The pieces we have gotten should last for generations. The customer service interface at Cabinfield is personal and outstanding also.

I have long like the Arts& Crafts and Mission looks, but despaired of ever being able to afford anything like the quality of the Stickley furniture. But your product does just that - neither the style nor the craftmanship could be bettered! It will be awhile till I can save up for more, but when I am ready, I will be sure to contact you again - and meanwhile, to recommend your work to my friends. I am delighted with my order - both the Arts & Crafts Loveseat and the coffee table. They are precisely to specifications and look great in my living room, blending in nicely with my oak morris chair and rocker (real antiques.)
I couldn't be more pleased, either with the product or the service - please let the furniture makers know they have created a beautiful product that will grace my home for many years to come (till they, too, have become antiques!)

The furniture arrived undamaged and is quite beautiful and obviously finely crafted—I am very pleased. Your website works well, so my whole experience was positive. My only comment for improvement is to work on packaging to try and reduce waste, and specifically hard to reuse/ recycle packaging (tape and styrofoam). I appreciate the need for protection—just seemed like there must be a better way than to use such a large quantity of landfill destined materials.
